There’s no such thing as a Coincidence
A book of change, on all
fronts all at the same time.
83
Photographs of an evolving painter.
Prologue
Transitions is
such an important time for me as an artist and person, that it took several
changes of title, placement of pieces within, and even over-coming over-all
guilt, to finally arrange, type, edit, scan, and complete this effort.
This is about Kathy, my Indian Woman and her daughter
Jennifer, and our attempt at a “nuclear” family.
It’s about starting to paint, and conversations with Vincent
VanGogh.
It’s about the urge to run away, from my job, from my
children, from my life and become an artist.
It’s about realizing that’s a very Gauguin thing to do and
not doing it, becoming a non-custodial parent while in pursuit of happiness.
It’s about Judy.
Transitions is living the fact that at the edge of the end
of it all, is the beginning, expect no rewards and they’re yours, we become
what we’ve done and acceptance are true directions, at least for me.
I just wrote it down.
I’d love to hear your comments.
