After sixteen years on the job, and having given my self to the corporate efforts I'd assumed valuable

and understood, and having fended off the beast of money while watching my "boss" fall over dead

in front of me on my forty second birthday ( with management looking on saying "hey, who is that guy?"), I felt best when I forgave the whole process rather than to continue to fight.

The painting FORGIVE applies to HEART ATTACK, MONEY and SELF-PORTRAIT(42). It helped me forgive a world I never saw.

FORGIVE  (1988)

“a person can be what they want to be

and should be just, and only, themselves”

I did, on my forty-second birthday, the portrait in this section. It was done the same night as ATTACK. Its' image shows impact. The portrait shows questioning of everything at a time of realization. The world was a foreign place, requiring changes of perceptions for my survival.

Self-Portrait (42) 1988

"peace comes in forgiving. “
