Note to Joshua.

Twice this summer we managed to play golf together

and it was, a great accomplishment,

great fun.

Twice we made plans together for lunch

and both times, you didn't make it.

Once you said, because you forgot. \

The second time I stood ringing your doorbell, no answer.

Joshua, what am I suppose to make of this?

I think people are only as good as their word

and I don't think you even realize that what you say

people expect you will do.

When you don't live by what you say

you'll find friends, lovers, everybody, leaving.

Not because of them, as you may have been led to believe

but because of you.

It's not them, it's you.
