And then there was this kid, a Spanish
kid who wanted to be an artist. He changed the world of art, and artists.
Picasso and I were never close and I never thought much of his work. I never
did see it.
My path as a painter would lead me to
him.
The "Picasso thing" about
Picasso is that once you see him, there's no way back. As a painter, he set the
artist up not only as the artist, but the art. Pablo changed the face of art
for 100 years, and counting.
Freedom comes with Picasso because nothing
is wrong. It can be lousy, but not wrong. That's the thinking. It followed, if
one had freedom, one had to have the faith to use that freedom. Picasso became
for me.
The title of this book changed from Faith
and Freedom, a kind of "VanGogh" thought, or wish or tribute, to
Alignment, which is more in keeping with progress than either a religious, or hero-worshipping
thought.
Thanks Pablo.
Touch
as big as you can
surprise,
wonder awaits.
People
look like what they are.
Everyone
has their space,
some
called studio, some, not.
It's
the same,
Les
Demoiselles D'Avignon at the disco.
Freedom,
freedom, freedom,
things
can be what ever you want them to be.
Most
of the time I don't know what do
when
children come for the weekend.
I
wish I did.
Portrait
of Martin Millis (lost youth)
Everyone
either grows up, or runs away.
Those
who run away either come back,
or
stay away and die.
Having danced the good dance sipped the good wine; it's time to move
on.
All my teachers, and all my time spent in their trusting companies
for now, I, travel towards an independent but collective tomorrow.
Alignment is being afraid, but knowing what's right and doing it.
