Pablo Picasso, at the Lapin Agile (Bar Life).

Having picture frames on paintings that sit in attics provide opportunities to fill them up with something else. So, after having done three Degas paintings for our living room, and having at least another frame to use, I went back to Pablo and did a rendering of his At the Lapin Agile.

This picture has personal history for Picasso, and of course all the art experts have done analysis after analysis showing the isolation of Picasso and his hatred of women, and well, maybe

so. My work is called Bar Life and it's about Muldoon's and all the other bars in the world where people go to tell lies and pretend there something other than what they really are.
