Remembering.

Some random thoughts while I was Calm in 1995 and 1996.

Be your best every minute.

Stand back and let your self fly.

Blonde is the color of love for me.

Be open.

Do it.

So just look around and SEE.

You are the only judge of your world.

Eliminate judging, serve.

Accomplishment is hard work; there are NO short cuts.

Make the life you have the best it can be.

Think about boredom before you flee.

Face the fact; it's hard to make progress.

You don’t need to talk about what you’re doing.

The school of painting I represent is for others to define.

Be grateful if anyone sees you.

Ya can't just get off.

When anything is complicated, it's wrong.

With age comes the severity of mistakes.

Amazing the French invented the shower.

None of us can fix "it".

The process of writing, for me, can't be productive on an as you go basis. The lines above are two years old comments and observations, "jotting it down". I have to be at this every day, no easy way. So be it.

Green Frog Pastries

Sometime before I was five years old

I remember sitting on the floor of the apartment where we lived

and my father came home from work and,

over my shoulder he placed a box of green frog pastries.

There were six

in the box, looking up at me with those bulging eyes.

I remember it as if it was yesterday,

a few days now before my fiftieth birthday.

A few days before my birthday my father asked me what my first memory was,

and I told him about the green frog pastries.

On my birthday the doorbell rang and my father, big

smile on his face, hands me a box of green frog pastries.

I ate them with the abandon of a five year old.

The best thing about the whole episode was my father heard me.

heard what I said.

Most people spend their lives trying to "make contact”.

and when it happened for me, anyways,

it was my most precious birthday gift.

Some early 1995 stupid thoughts

I'd like to paint portraits in oil, two.

One for me and one for you. $200.00.

Call436-7527.

Sometimes I think I'd like to start a business

where the people in the business would be responsible for it.

I still look up from my madness and it's 11:22.

Not bad. Still, black and white.

Hey dummie, don't ignore the obvious.
