The thing about affairs

is that they change

for time plays tricks upon the participants.

There's always wine

and a song to make love to

but in the end, affairs are clinging "things".

It's human nature

to take the easy way

but it's in owning, and being owned

that turns "it" in on you.

So stay without requirements

and within the freedom of your self,

for it's in all of us

to make beasts of each other.
