"Susan and I could no longer resist each other as
our poems, minds and bodies
merged in the
each of a new us. "
There were longing glances and fond embraces with wet kisses on
warm skin.
It was early,
then it was late
and there was a reason for tomorrow.
The night passed
in flashes of seconds, that took hours
crashing into infinity.
Beginnings and beginnings were born and captured,
as minds moved in unison to the tune of
together.
There were diversions and chocolates,
with smoky sips
from a common glass.
Passion showed
on the faces of us, disappearing in fog on my
long ride home.
I didn't know
about affairs of the soul. They remake you
and there is no return.
Now in the cold
of the absence of Susan
I sit writing in doubt of survival.
