White picket fences
I saw a house, standing
with others
on a street lined with
trees.
It was blue, with white
shutters
and a dog ran around the
yard.
Four kids rode around in
the driveway
saying, asking who I was.
Saying nothing, a little
girl took my hand.
Doors melted towards
inside.
We ate peanut butter
sandwiches
with tomato soup.
The woman smiled.
Mowing lawns, weaved in
fun
leaving, wrapped in
warmth,
some people laugh
and say "how
boring".
I feel absolute awe.
